    HORSE RIDING HOLIDAYS FOR CHILDREN

    Brookfield Farm is an ideal place for children to enjoy.  We take unaccompanied children from the age of 10.  Children love the freedom of Brookfield, where they can express themselves and have lots of individual attention.  Not too many rules here, but safety is our first concern always.

    For young people learning English, this is the perfect opportunity for them to do what they enjoy and practise their English at the same time.  We will help them with school projects and introduce them to children of the same age in our village.

    There is no t.v. but we do have hundreds of dvd’s and videos and especially for children.

    We play monopoly, have ping-pong tournaments, midnight feasts (well not exactly at midnight….)

    Sausage sizzles up on the hillside, treasure hunts….all sorts of fun.  We have occasional debates and discussions on the environment and the countryside.  We go and look for badgers, rabbits and rare birds.

    We walk to the top of the hill and look at the world around us…. We have a good time as well as them!!

    Aunty Janet and Uncle Robert cry as much as they do when they leave, and the dogs, too!!

    Children are encouraged to join in with everything and help with all jobs, such as laying the table, cooking, washing up, clearing the table, etc.  They help us with the animals and it is amazing how much independence and confidence they gain from this.  They seem to enjoy mucking in and working with us (much to the amazement of their parents!).  We don’t worry tooo much about their room…..

    This is a happy healthy holiday environment and you have no need to worry about the safety and happiness of your child.!
